Accessibility statement
Verso exists to make documents accessible, so we hold our own product to the same standard. Our goal is for this site and the Verso app to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
What we do
- Semantic landmarks, a skip link, and a logical heading structure on every page.
- Visible keyboard focus on all interactive elements, and no keyboard traps.
- Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast ratios.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences.
- Status messages, like processing progress, announced to assistive technology.
- Automated accessibility checks with axe-core on every release.
Known limitations
- The side-by-side original page view shows an image of the source PDF, which is inaccessible by definition. The accessible version and the screen reader preview next to it carry the same content.
- Read-aloud uses your browser’s built-in speech engine, and voices vary by platform.
